Andy A. Beltrán, MD is a Guatemalan-born immigrant raised in Harlem, New York, and a bilingual psychiatrist whose work has been shaped by years of frontline care in underserved communities, academic medicine, and ethical leadership. He serves as Medical Director at Community Mental Health Affiliates (CMHA) and is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. 

A founding Chief Medical Officer of the National Hispanic Health Research Institute (NHHRI), Dr. Beltrán now serves in an advisory role supporting ethical, community-powered research grounded in lived experience and clinical reality.
