Strategic Focus

Workforce transformation and nursing as national CBPR infrastructure. Nurses and community health professionals are among the most trusted voices in healthcare and often have the strongest connections to the communities they serve. This panel will explore how the healthcare workforce can play a greater role in expanding community-based participatory research by integrating research activities into everyday clinical and community practice.

Panelists will discuss the changes needed in education, workforce development, regulation, and reimbursement to support broader participation in research. The conversation will also examine how nurses and community health professionals can help strengthen the connection between patients, healthcare organizations, researchers, and communities while ensuring that research remains responsive to local needs and culturally informed.
