Geraldine Luna,MD, MPH, MBAc

Geraldine Luna, MD, MPH, MBAc, is the Executive Director of Illinois Unidos, former Medical Director and Incident Commander for the COVID-19 Respond Bureau, and the Migrant Response of the Chicago Department of Public Health. Additionally, she serves as Vice President of the Medical Organization for Latino Advancement and the National Hispanic Medical Association Chapter Chair.

She has been involved in healthcare for nearly 20 years.  
Dr. Luna graduated from the San Juan City Hospital Internal Medicine program, the University of Illinois at Chicago Geriatric subspecialty, and a Master’s in Public Health. Additionally, she completes an Executive Master’s in Business Administration at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. 

Her interests and work focus on minority health, social justice, and equity, with an emphasis on advocating for culturally and linguistically competent healthcare access for Hispanic Spanish-speaking communities.
