Danielle Nicole Gonzales, M.D., M.P.H.
Dr. Danielle Nicole Gonzales is a physician and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics–Newborn Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine and practices at Texas Children’s Hospital, where she delivers clinical care, contributes to academic medicine, and pursues research on health disparities and social determinants of health within maternal and neonatal populations. She provides culturally responsive, evidencebased care to diverse and underserved families and is known for her patientcentered approach, advocacy for health equity, and commitment to improving outcomes in neonatal and pediatric care. At Baylor, Dr. Gonzales also participates in clinical education and mentorship for trainees in pediatrics and neonatology. She also serves as the Vice-Chair of the National Hispanic Voter Education Foundation.
Dr. Gonzales’s academic journey includes a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Stanford University, where she completed her undergraduate studies, and a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She further enhanced her public health expertise by earning a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, strengthening her foundation in population health and health systems. Her postgraduate clinical training includes a residency in Pediatrics at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City and a fellowship in Neonatology at Baylor College of Medicine, reflecting deep specialization in newborn and pediatric care.
