Danielle Nicole Gonzales, M.D., M.P.H.
Dr. Danielle Nicole Gonzales is a physician and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics–Newborn Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine and practices at Texas Children’s Hospital, where she delivers clinical care, contributes to academic medicine, and pursues research on health disparities and social determinants of health within maternal and neonatal populations. She provides culturally responsive, evidence-based care to diverse and underserved families. She is known for her patient-centered approach, advocacy for health equity, and commitment to improving outcomes in neonatal and pediatric care. At Baylor, Dr. Gonzales also participates in clinical education and mentorship for trainees in pediatrics and neonatology. She also serves as the Vice-Chair of the National Hispanic Voter Education Foundation.
In addition to her work on health disparities, her research extends to parental perinatal mental health conditions, reflecting a broad commitment to family and community well-being.
Dr. Gonzales’s academic journey includes a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Stanford University, where she completed her undergraduate studies, and a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She is currently a Master of Public Health candidate, building on her clinical and research experience with advanced training in public health practice
